Meet My River Kids

Oh What Wonders They Are!!

As time went by, Mama and Papa Swan always visited each and every day ... and I was amazed how fast those little cygnets grew, and what good parents Mama and Papa were!! Sadly, as mother nature has it, one of the baby cygnets didn't survive. But Mama and Papa remained very protective of the three remaining ones.

To listen and watch these beautiful swans, all their habits and ways, was such a treat. I would like to also mention, that there were many morning that they woke me up by pecking the side of the boat. It sounded like a log bumping into it. I became such good friends to those swans, that if they were down river all I had to do was give a special whistle, and you could see them way down river hurrying to greet me. They felt very comfortable at our location, that they would walk out of the water up onto the grass yard at the Taunton Yacht Club to get a little sunbathing in. And lastly, Papa Swan had no fear in walking right up to me.... Oh The Wonders Of My River Kids......

These photographs were taken by myself, at the Taunton Yacht Club. They hold dear and fond memories. Please do not link to them, and if there are any you would like to use, please just send me an e-mail and I would be more than happy to accommodate.
