(note: I am just starting to put this room together and have found several interesting sites. Besides the educational one which K. Miki presents, I also came across The New England Dreadnought Flotilla, which is a group that holds actual battles. and surprisingly, is practically right in my backyard. So do plan on returning often here to see my new findings! Before you journey on through any of the links, please take a moment and sign my guestbook.)

R/C BOATING is very much an International well recognized hobby and you can find a group of these boating enthusiasts in just about every country.

While I was searching the internet to learn more about R/C BOATING, I came across a very special site which K. Miki put together, that shows in detail, exactly what R/C BOATING is all about.

I would like to mention that any of the following information which is presented here, is Copyright(C) K. Miki, All right reserved, and should not to be used with out the consent of K. Miki.

On his A Gallery of Boat Modeling page, do enter his Table of Contents with Pictures, so very informative, and his pictures showing the steps in the building process makes it even more interesting and understandable. At the end of this page,K. Miki has RELATED LINKS, wait till you see all the sites he has gathered throughout the web in relations to R/C Boating.

I'm sure he would be glad to hear from you, so take a moment and send him an e-mail when you visit his site and let him know you got there from Misssit's World. You will find the LINK to his site below.

Unless, you have built one of these very detailed boats, you can't even begin to imagine the time that is spent to build one. In my eyes it certainly takes talent, pride and patience, to consentrate putting everything together. But imagine the feeling, when you finally finish building one and placing it in the water for the first time.

If you click on each of the three pictures from K. Miki web site, you can see and learn in detail all that he put into each of them. He does have more in his site, so enjoy it as much as I have.

The other home I came across is the

NEW ENGLAND DREADNOUGHT FLOTILLA

The NEDF are a part of the IRDMWCC which stands for The International Radio Controlled Model Warship Combat Club. Most of the boats they use are models ships from 1905 through 1945. They are equiped with BB firing guns and balsawood sides. They also have pumps and the object is to sink your opponent.

I certainly was surprised when I learned that they usually meet in Bellingham and Wrentham, which is very close to the town I reside in. Another location they meet at is in Sudbury. I have learned that their meeting places depend upon the availability of a usable body of water, which is shallow and weed free. Hopefully, come June 19th, I'll be able to see them in action and just maybe get some good pictures.

As for now, most of their web page is under construction, but I'm sure soon they will have much more to present to those interested. You will find a link to their web page below.
