Tall Ships Sail Boston Harbor (1992)

Needless to say, it sure was a crowded memoriable day in Boston Harbor. Security was out in full force keeping everything under control.

The Ship on the left is the well known EAGLE U.S.A. The Tall Ship on the right is the SPIRIT of MASSACHUSETTS , She is 125' Class B, built in 1984, a Top Sail Schooner and has a crew of 30

Eagle U.S.A. Spirit of Massachusetts

The Tall Ship on the left is known as ROSE U.S. .. She's 179' Class A Full Rigged Ship built in 1970. It uas a crew of 36. The Rose is also the oldest operational wooden Tall Ship in the world. The Tall Ship on the rightis the CONCORDIA from Canada. She's 185' Class A Barkentine which was built in 1991, with a crew of 63.

The two pictures is the KRUZENDBTERN from Russia, making this her first trip to the United States.

The Tall Ships in the center are, LIBERTAD and THE MIR passing each other. The MIR is from St. Petersburg, Russia. She's 361' Class A Square Rig built in 1987 with a crew of 198. She also finished first in the Class A & B Division during the 1992 first leg of the Trans-Atlantic Race. This is her first visit to the United States.

Libertad The Mir

The Tall Ship on the left is FRYDERYCK CHOPIN from Scotland. She's 182" Class A (Brig) built in 1992 and has a crew of 54. The Tall Ship on the right is the NIAGRA, she's 198' Class A Brig from Pennsylvania, built in 1990 and has a crew of 36. This is a duplicate of the original which was destroyed in the War of 1812.

Fryderyck Chopin Niagra Tall Ship

The Tall Ship on the left is the KALIAKRA from Bulgaria. She's 165' Class B Barkentine, built in 1984 with a crew of 51. The Tall Ship on the right is known as GLORIA Information is not known at this time.

Kaliakra Gloria

The Tall Ship on the left is known as LITTLE VOYAGER, information on her is not known at this time. The Tall Ship on the right is another one of LIBERTAD, from Argentina.

Little Voyager Libertad

These are a few more pictures of the Tall Ships. The names and information on them are unknown at this time.
